Great Auckland Refit 2002
Three
months have been set aside from Soren Larsen's sailing
schedule to tackle planned maintenance and another stage
of the ship's restoration process. The Aft end below
decks is to be refurbished - i.e. the navigation area,
Master's, Mate's and Engineer's cabin are being totally
rebuilt.
10th
May 2002 - Here are more images
from the past week. Work continues at a feverish place
but good progress is made on deck and below. If anyone
in the Auckland area is keen to come down and lend us
a hand then they should call the ship's office.
