Summer Voyaging
Sail the coast and explore the islands of the North Island's Hauraki Gulf and Bay of Islands aboard this magnificently restored square rigger.
Join the crew for a short voyage through the pristine waters that Captain James Cook first charted 242 years ago. The ideal introduction to square rig seamanship.
The bays and islands of the Hauraki Gulf are a protected Marine Park and seabirds, dolphins and whales abound in its waters. On these 5 or 4 night adventures we aim to take you to places that would otherwise be inaccessible, hike ashore and see unique New Zealand wildlife.
'Islands of the Hauraki Gulf' voyages depart from and return to the ship's berth on Princes Wharf, Auckland.
Hauraki Gulf/ Bay of Islands voyages start from Auckland and finish at Russell, or vice versa. The coach journey between Auckland and the Bay of Islands can be arranged for you by our office if you wish.
Voyage berth cost includes 3 meals a day onboard Soren Larsen. Wine, beer and other drinks are available and paid for individually.
If your sailing trip with Soren Larsen is part of a longer holiday to New Zealand then perhaps we can offer advice about places to see, activities and accommodation outside of your sailing holiday that will help you plan your time in this magnificent country.

A 3 or 5 night trip in the Bay of Islands or Hauraki Gulf is a perfect experience to share together .. if your mother's game and never done anything like this, then suggest it as an easygoing adventure to go on together. Sons and fathers of any age will treasure the memory of setting sail together. This is apart from our kids or family deals and we hope it will enable two generations of any age to come aboard and share something special this season.
